Beneath the Moon Shawl
This lovely laceweight shawl, worked as a wedge / vortex, incorporates a pretty vintage leaf pattern with a flower edging. The versatile shape can be worn a variety of ways!

Yarn 
Mrs Crosby Reticule, 100% Merino wool (840 yds / 768 m per 100 g), 2 skeins. Shown in Peacock colorway. Sample weighed 171 g and used 1436yds / 1313 m.
Needles 
US2 / 2.75mm, or size to obtain gauge 
3.25mm crochet hook if doing crochet bind off
Gauge 
Leaf lace pattern repeat (blocked): 2¾ in / 7 cm over 24 sts and 6 in / 15 cm over 48 rows 
Gauge is important. Alterations in gauge will affect yarn requirements and finished size.

Abbreviations used:
CDI Center double increase: K1 through back loop, k1 in next stitch, insert left needle from left to right under vertical strand between stitches just made, knit this strand through back loop. 
K1 TBL Knit through the back loop 
K Knit 
K2TOG Knit two stitches together 
K3TOG Knit three stitches together 
k4tog Knit four stitches together 
KFB Knit into the front of the stitch, leaving the stitch on the needle, and then knit into the back of the same stitch 
M1R From the back, lift the horizontal strand between stitches with the left needle; knit through the front loop. 
M1P From the back, lift the horizontal strand between stitches with the left needle; purl through the front loop. 
P1 TBL Purl through the back loop

SK2P Slip one stitch knitwise, knit the two stitches together, then pass the slipped stitch over.
