The Bene Tleilaxu were a species of genetically altered humans known for their genetic engineering and creating Gholas or re-imagined people from the dead. Their culture, similar to the Bene Gesserits, seemed to be entirely made up of 1 gender, but then it was discovered the females were solely used in breeding tanks. These socks are meant to depict normal vibrant DNA on the cuff and once you start working the foot the colors shift and the genetically altered DNA covers the remainder of the foot. This pattern is great for using up scraps and mini skeins, with one or two central colors. You will need at least 3 colors of yarn to work the pattern, but can add in as many more as you wish, attaching 1 when running out of another. Pattern is worked in a staggered slip stitch to keep the material stretchy.
Pattern is meant for intermediate knitters, you will be working between 3 yarns in stripes, a common heel, and slipped stitches.
