Belvidere Shawl
This shawl is a perfect use for that skein of variegated fingering or sock weight yarn you couldn’t resist! Pair it with a solid or semi solid and let it shine! This shawl has plain garter stitch sections and slip stitch sections that are simple to work and memorize.
The shawl is a biased, asymmetrical triangle. It begins with 3 sts and increases gradually along one side.
The pattern is designed to work with fingering weight yarn in 100 g skeins ranging from 400-437 y (438-478 m).
If you have less yardage, work fewer repeats in the last section, reserving enough to bind off. (Approximately 9 y/8.25 m.)
ERRATA: Section 2, row 3 should read “knit to last stitch, m1, k1” instead of the current “knit to last 2 sts, m1, k1.
