Spruce Lane Designs x Manos del Uruguay
Azalea and rhododendron bushes, when they are full of buds that tease with small peeps of their color just prior to opening, were the inspiration for this sweater. The bobbles imitate the flower buds on the cusp of exploding into full bloom while the remaining fair-isle pattern mimics the stems and leaves.
//
This short-sleeved circular yoke pullover is worked in the round from the top down.
Two shaping choices are provided for the lower body. The first is a no-shaping option used for the sweater shown where the lower body is a straight tube having the same number of stitches at the lower edge and bust. The second choice is a slight hourglass option with gentle waist shaping and a hip circumference about 1¼” to 1½” larger than the bust circumference, depending on size.
