Do you get addicted to cable knitting? I sure do – I adore cables. Intricate cable designs just make my brain happy for some reason. While designing this hat, the flow of the cables and the color of the yarn brought to mind the lovely shape and vibrant color of bellflowers, and I was immediately hooked. The miles of ribbing that make up the cozy, folded brim of this hat flew by because I was so excited to see the cables take shape on my needles. As I criss-crossed the stitches and saw the pattern come to life, I knew I would be knitting this hat again and again. While the shape of the hat is classic, the bell-like form of the cable pattern brings interest to this knit and, at least to me, compels quick completion of a beautiful finished product. Come join the cable addiction! We have pretty stitches!
