Belle Epoque Dress
This dress features eye catching, feminine shaping. The gathered front bodice created with color contrast and kfb is a flattering style for most bust lines. Its simple A-line shape allows for versatile styling no matter what the occasion or weather. The sleeveless style lets you wear it alone with sandals in mild climate. Or layer a t-shirt, or a button-down shirt, for cooler weather. Decreases and increases create shaping from top to bottom. An I-cord trim finishes the neck.
I used hand dyed, Hedgehog fibers skinny singles, but any fingering weight yarn will work!
Gauge on size 4 needles is 22 stitches and 32 rows per 4”.
XS, S, and Medium all take 2 skeins for the bottom, and 1 skein for the top, while L and XL need 3 skeins for the bottom, and 2 for the top.
Size medium is pictured on commercial size 10 dress form.
