Beitidh
Beitidh - pronounced B EH-Tiy, is the Gaelic derivative of the English name Betsy and Scottish equivalent of Betty.
This is a loose fitting, slouchy style Fair Isle hat, knitted in an all-over design and finished with a wheel pattern crown. An ideal introduction to stranded knitting and working in the round, suitable for those with some experience.
The Fair Isle design is worked from a chart and colours can be changed as required.
The samples shown were worked in either two or four colours, in slightly differing weights of 4-ply yarn.
