Beer Mug & Glass
Main Square
Main Color of the Square is about 2 ½ oz
Border of the Square is about 2 oz
Crochet Hook Size I (I tend to stitch tight)
Gauge = (4 dcs, ch 2, dc) = 1 ¼”
Two Rows = 1 ¼”
Stitches: ch - chain
ss - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
Ch 3 - counts as a double crochet unless noted otherwise
NOTE: There are so many types of yarns out there to experiment with. I personally like the cone yarns for machine knitting - as I can combine several different styles and colors to make up my own color scheme.
Plus I find the specialty yarns (i.e. bumps in the yarn or variegated) easier to find in the cone yarn rather than the skein.
Depending on the thickness of the yarn you are using for the square, is the size of square you will come out with. The goal is to try and have a completed square that measures 12”. If your square doesn’t come out to this size, add more chains at the beginning and extend the rows so that before you add the boarder it is 9 ½” to 10” square.
