This cute stuffie is named Beekle. He is a character from the charming book Beekle : The Unimaginary Friend written by Dan Santat.
This book is about creative imagination and the wonders of friendship. It’s been a hit in our home and is sure to be one in yours as well. I often gift this book at baby showers and write a note for the little one inside in leu of a card.

I recently contacted the author asking for permission to create this pattern and he graciously said it’s perfectly fine by him.

NEEDLES:
Size US 6 (4.0 mm) 24” circular needles or DPN’s

NOTATIONS:
Removable Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle to weave in ends
Scissors
Fiberfill or stuffing

YARN:
Red Heart Super Saver
Or Worsted Weight yarn

YARDAGE:
125 yards (114 m) white yarn
20 yards (18 m) gold yarn
small amount of black yarn

ABBREVIATIONS:
CO - Cast On
k - knit
kf&b - knit front and back of the stitch
k2tog - knit two stitches together

20 sts and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm)
in stockinette stitch

MEASUREMENTS:
Beekle stands about 7” (18 cm) tall
