Beechnut Cardigan
Top down and seamless, this layering cardigan is a no-brainer for your fall wardrobe. Yoke increases are worked directly into the single-crochet mesh pattern for an uninterrupted design. Contrasting color stripes and buttons provide lots of opportunities to customize this piece.

Yarn Cascade Yarns Aegean Tweed (100% organic wool, 328 yd 300 m/3½ oz 100 g): #08 tannin (MC), 4 (4, 5, 6, 6) balls; #07 cream (CC), 1 ball.
Hook Sizes F/5 (3.75 mm) and I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions 1” buttons, 5; yarn needle; optional: 5⁄8” buttons, 2.
Gauge 22 sts and 19 rows = 4” in mesh patt with larger hook, blocked.

The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece with a circular yoke and a back extension for a better fit. The short sleeves are worked from the armhole down after the body is complete.
