Beechbone Gauntlets
The Beechbone Gauntlets are a study in contrasts. Worked in the round, each begins at the Beech Leaf Lace patterned cuff and transition to 1/1 rib at the inside wrist for snug fit. At the onset of the rib the herringbone pattern begins at the back of the hand, continues as the thumb gusset and palm are worked in Stockinette stitch, and carries on to the rem of the hand. Then the fingers are worked in St st palmside and herringbone continues on the public side. The thumb is worked entirely in St st. Fingers and thumbs are worked in the round on dpn.
Basic glove structure is reviewed in the pattern, the cuff lace pattern is charted and written, and all parts of the glove are laid out in table format for easy access.
Pattern has been tech edited and tested.
