This traditional style aran cardigan features abundant texture and cables in a fun-to-knit project for your winter wardrobe.
SIZE
To fit 32(34:36:38:40:42:44:46:48:50:52:54:56:58)“ chest. After blocking the chestmeasurements include 3–7cm/1–2¾” of positive ease.
MATERIALS
Aran weight yarn with approx 170 metres/185 yards per 100g. You will need 7(7:8:8:8:9:9:10:10:10:11:11:12:12) 100g skeins.
The pictured sample was knitted with baa ram ewe ‘Dovestone Natural Aran’ in shade #1.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4.5mm/US 5 and 5mm/US 8 circular needles for flat knitting with long rows and small diameter circular knitting. Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve the specified tension.
7 buttons: 22mm/⅞“ size.
TENSION/GAUGE
21 sts and 26 rows/rounds per 10cm/4” in blocked double moss stitch.
