Beatles Illusion
Everyone recognises The Beatles, even though you won’t see them when you stand immediately in front of this illusion knitted hanging. The image only emerges as you move around and view from the side.
Illusion knitting is very easy and works in any thickness of yarn. I used Stylecraft Special DK in Emperor and Parchment (one ball of each with extra required for the borders) I used 3 mm needles and my finished piece measures about 70 cm by 55 cm (28” by 22”).
The instructions include several versions of the chart including one specially designed for use on phones and tablets.
Illusions are extremely difficult to photograph and never show the WOW factor you get in real life.
The final photograph shows the illusion when viewed from directly in front.
