Beanie 'Little Ladybird'
A fun little ladybird pixie beanie knitting pattern that’s perfect for boys and girls.
This pattern was originally written to work with Rowan Wool Cotton 4ply. As this yarn has now been discontinued, the pattern has now been re-written so it works with Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. This intarsia knit hat is knitted flat on a pair of straight 3.25mm (US#3) needles.
My knitting patterns are written so they are very easy to understand. If you have a question do look in my support FAQ section at my www.lindawhaley.co.uk website as you may find that somebody has already asked your question. If you can’t find an answer just send an email…. I am always happy to help
I do recommend knitting this beanie flat and seamed with intarsia pictures, but if you only work in the round you could convert this pattern for DPNs and duplicate stitch (swiss darn) the ladybugs once you have completed the beanie. Each size would need to be 2 stitches less, (you would need to omit the first and last stitch of each row).
