The baby and toddler versions of the shorts pattern have customization for with and without a diaper- to create a great fit. The toddler and child size have ease in the bottom, and all versions contain a crotch piece- just like in a top of the line store, to add to the comfort for lots of running and playing. In addition, all versions of this pattern contain two options for the waist: ties or a hidden elastic band, making them practical and allowing a preference of the crafter. In addition, all sizes include ease for the hips.
The shorts work from the waist down, and begin smaller, then increase for hip room, reinforcing the shorts to stay up in addition to the drawstring or elastic. They are worked in the round resulting in seamless stitching. The stitching for both pieces is a woven-like stitching, allowing for stretch without being revealing. Your little beach babe will not only be comfortable, but will be playing for hours with the mermaids by the sea in this darling little set.
