I loved the patterns I saw online for BB8 inspired hats. However, I couldn’t find one that used hdc instead of dc stitches. So I wrote my own.

You will need white, orange, gray and black worsted weight yarn for this hat.

I included a photo of the back of my hat, to show how staggering the increases at the beginning of each row helps to reduce the visible seam.
