Bâtonnage is the act of stirring grape solids after fermentation. This adds more flavor to the new wine and can also have a stabilizing effect. The cozy cowl and boot toppers pictured feature a deliberate, swirling pattern designed to be reminiscent of a paddle dragging through a vat of new wine.
Sizing note: Leg warmers are available in a 12.5 inch calf, and a 14.5 inch calf. Cowl is one-size.
Required skills: CO, knit, purl, work in the round, YO, ssk, k2tog, slip, psso, 3-needle bind-off, standard BO.
