Color Suggestions
• (Any Color) + White is easily achieved by using ‘Any Color’ for color A and white for color B. For my Lemon dog, I used a color called ‘goldenrod’ for color A. Rust-colored and dark gray yarns are good representations for mahogany and blue. Browns, blacks, and tans are pretty self-explanatory.
• For tri-color dogs, you can choose color E for the face- color E being perhaps tan in a black and white and tan dog. Adjust the colors of the eye trim and the feet and blanket as you think best. The snout can be in white or tan or both.
• A black mask dog is pretty easily achieved by beginning and ending the snout with black, perhaps using a gray or medium color to gradient it between white or tan or whichever lighter color you wish.
• Changing colors on the blanket will help achieve more black or white markings to the body. How to do that is explained in the pattern.
• Ticking can be added to the feet and the face easily with some random embroidery without any fear of the wrong side of the stitching showing.
