Basketweave Mittens coordinates with the Advent Scarf 2022 and the Basketweave Hat. The mittens uses 2 of the stitch patterns from the scarf. One stitch pattern starts in the ribbing and then merges into 2x2 ribbing. The 2nd stitch pattern is used over the body of the mitten and the thumb is in plain stockinette stitch.

The mittens are sized for an adult. The fabric is very squishy and stretchy and will fit a range of hand sizes, although more length may be needed in the hand before the top of hand decreases start.

The mitten uses 2 sportweight yarns, that contrast each other. There is one colour for the ribbing and a second colour for the body of the mitten. The mitten could also be knit in a single colour.
