Basket Stitch Steeked Scarf
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This painless introduction to steeking is knit in the round, then steeked to become a scarf. The steeked ends are unraveled to the desired length to become a fringe. Those new to steeking get a very powerful demonstration in just how stable a steeked edge is. Once the first strand is unraveled and knotted, no other strand will unravel past that point, no matter what you do! It makes a great class to introduce steeking without the trauma of cutting through a whole sweater.
