Basket of Tricks Mittens.
Has the theme of a basket….has a few tricks in construction !

Knitted mittens with an open basketweave cuff and a firm woven textured hand.
Size by altering needle size.

Pattern Options
There are two options listed in the pattern…

1. Longer hand length mitten with no finger separators
2. Shorter hand length mitten with finger separators

Materials
4mm/US6 and 3.75mm/US5 knitting needles, 4mm/USG crochet hook.
Generally approx 50g of wool/acrylic per pair.

Skill Level
Intermediate. This pattern is not for the total novice, but the experienced/improving knitter will love it.
4 rows crochet per mitten.

Notes
Knitted mittens.
Instructions include a small amount of crochet - you must be able to chain and double crochet (UK tr), just a total of 4 rows.

I hope that you will love the unconventional cast on.
I think you will find it unusual but easy to follow (pictures included).
The cast off is quirky too, but again very easy to achieve.
Worked flat and then seamed.
