I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Obsessed of knitting socks
No doubt about it!

Well, these super beautiful Basket Case Socks are just the perfect solution if you’re suffering the same as I am!

The Basket Case Socks are designed for showing off your beautiful speckled or solid yarn. You don’t need to try too hard, just add some easy tricks.

The socks are knit from the toe up. You might think that the stitch pattern is difficult, but no way: it takes only 4 rows. On 2 of them you simply slip stitches, on 1 you only knit and on 1 you twist some stitches. So easy and relaxing but much more interesting than knitting only stockinette stitch.

The heel is a wrap and turn heel without any holes. It’s simple when you just follow the instructions and don’t think too much.

The pattern is written for 2 different kinds of sock yarn, for heavier (approx. 350 m/100 g, 380 yd/3,5 oz) and lighter (approx. 425 m/ 100 g) ones.

It’s also written for both, the magic loop method and DPN’s.

The sizing is simple for both yarns: slim because of the stitch pattern. If you have a wider foot, you can adjust the size by using a heavier yarn and bigger needles and knitting with the pattern for lighter yarn, where’re more stitches in round. The length of the sock is easily adjustable just for your size.

So free your inner basket case! You’re not alone.
