Basic Oven Mitts
I KNOW! This one should’ve been first, since it is the “basic” one, but it is the 4th oven mitt pattern. This one is perfect if you want to try it out before delving into colorwork or if you want to have some super stabby fun needle felting! These are the BEST oven mitts that I’ve ever used during a lifetime of cooking and baking. There is no heat transfer at all – even when I grab a HOT roasting pan from a 450 degree oven! I love them and I can’t stop making them. I LOVE this project! And honestly, I can’t imagine getting a better gift than a fancy new pan/pot and some gorgeous, amazing hand-made oven mitts!
There are awesome kits available here!
And a walk through video here for the various transition points on the mitts.
