This basic entrelac square is written with beginners in mind, but can be used by anyone wanting to make an entrelac square.

Any yarn can be used - simply use a needle two sizes larger than normal for the yarn you are using. Size will vary depending on the size of yarn you use. The samples were made with worsted weight yarn and size six needles and came out to approximately 8” square for the afghan squares and 9” square for the cotton hot pad.
