Barton Springs Skirt
November in Austin always makes me think of heading down to Zilker Park and enjoying the autumn sunshine at Barton Springs. This season-spanning skirt is a great way to show off handknits in a warmer climate, where just a bit of wool is needed to take off the chill. Knitted from the bottom up, progressively smaller needles are used to create a fitted silhouette. The ruffles are knitted separately, then joined to the body of the skirt without seaming for minimal finishing. Pair this skirt with leather boots and your favorite jean jacket, and you’ll be ready for anything!
