Barn Raising Quilt
Dip into your scraps and stashes!
This afghan is a collage made of many kinds of sock yarns. As a work of fiber art, it celebrates the many luscious dye jobs, and striping and coloring effects of sock yarn. As an afghan, it celebrates the best intentions of a group of knitters.
The gorgeous sample in the book was knit by 36 volunteer knitters from around the world in their own yarn choices.
A 50 gram ball of fingering weight yarn yields pproximately 3 squares: that is about 17 grams per square, when knitting at the gauge given in the pattern.
