Named after the Welsh seaside town where I spent many happy summer holidays on the beach as a child, this headband was inspired by the ripple patterns made in the sand along the shoreline as the tide goes out.
You begin the headband with an i-cord tie, then increase into rib for the central patterned section of rippled cable and lace stitches, then decrease again in rib for the second i-cord tie. Slipped stitches make for a neat edge and the i-cord ties allow you to easily adjust the fit.
You can easily make a longer or shorter headband if you want, just work more or fewer pattern repeats before decreasing for the i-cord tie.
