The Barley Bouquet cowl echoes this warm abundance. Carefully placed lace stitches bend the cowl rows in lively chevrons. Stitches with long floats travel around the cowl like butterflies in the fields. Yarn
Koperdraadje Squishy Merino DK (DK; 100% Merino; 225 meters / 246 yards per 115 grams); 2 skeins; sample uses 190 grams in a cream/rust/brown-mix colorway.

Needles
3.75 mm (US size 5) 80 cm / 32 inches circular needle or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge
19 stitches and 24 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in Stockinette stitch, unblocked.
16 stitches and 23 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in stitch Pattern B – Harvest Butterflies, blocked.
Note: obtaining the gauge given is not crucial but will affect the finished size and the yardage needed.

Notions
Removable stitch markers: 1 in color A (beginning-of-round marker), 7 in color B (optional). Tapestry needle. Blocking pins. Blocking wires (optional).
