Banksia Scarf
The Banksia Scarf is a long and wide lightweight scarf, featuring a simple open lace design. The oval gaps within the main pattern are reminiscent of the open pockets on the seeds pods of the Banksia plant.
This pattern is worked in short rows across the width of the scarf. The scarf has been made using three shades of grey to create an ombre effect as they progress from light to dark. The scarf would look equally as effective if made using a single colour for the entire piece or more contrasting colours for each section.
This design only requires approx 200g of 4ply/fingering yarn.
Familiarity with basic crochet techniques and working in rows is desirable.
The finished size of the scarf is approx 160cm in length and 28cm in width.
It is written in English and is available in both US and UK crochet terms.
The pattern has full colour photos and is easy to read and understand. A table for row tracking has been included for you to use, this allows you to mark off the repeated rows as you go and easily find your place within the pattern.
Please share photos of your finished items, as I love seeing the work of others :)
Happy Hooking!
Regards Elizabeth
