Bandwagon Mitts
The perfect pair of mitts to wear on a winter’s walk!
This pattern begins with a stretchy rib worked as a long strip,
next it’s joined to make a round and then crocheted up to the fingertips in a continuous spiral. A gap is made for the thumb
and the thumb is crocheted at the end.
It’s an intermediate level pattern, written in UK & USterms.
There is a photo tutorial available for this pattern!
There are 6 sizes available from child-small through to adult-extra large with notes about how to tweak the pattern to get the perfect fit.
I chose West Yorkshire Spinners Aire DK which sadly seems to be discontinued in solid colours but is still available in variegated colourways. A good place to look for substitute yarn is yarnsub.com.
The smallest size uses half a 100g ball of DK weight, adult medium will need most of a 100g ball, the larger adult sizes will need up to 150g of yarn.
