Band On The Run
Pattern includes directions for both headbands which can be further modified by choosing to twist or not or by adding the ruched band or not. Both bands can be made with one skein of DK weight yarn with approximately 250 yards per 100 gram skein. Samples shown used Heritage BFL DK by The Wool Barn in the “secrets” color way. A small amount of yarn (approximately 5-10 grams) was leftover after knitting both bands. Differences in gauge may affect overall yardage.
The headbands can be worn multiple ways, with the full twist in the front or back, a half twist in the front and back,
with the cuff center stage, off to the side, or even
hidden in the back. Whichever way you wear your headband, it will
will be sure to keep your ears warm while looking stylish.
The ruched cuff is knit in stst then gathered as desired.
Written in one size fits most, it is easily modified by adding or
subtracting sts in groups of 8 for pattern A and any
number of sts for pattern B.
Suitable for a beginner knitter who knows how to knit and purl in the round.
