The Baltic Breeze Pullover is a cozy yet elegant sweater that wraps you in texture and timeless comfort. The all over stitch pattern paired with a striking cable detail in the front makes it a versatile piece you’ll reach for again and again. Designed to be worn with 10–20 cm / 4–8 inches of positive ease, it creates a relaxed silhouette that’s both flattering and easy to wear. With ten sizes and bust circumference ranging from 84–175 cm / 33–69 inches, Baltic Breeze offers a perfect fit for everybody. Whether you choose a casual crew neck or a cozy turtleneck, this pullover adapts to your personal style while keeping you warm through every season.

Many of my testers used a single strand of DK–Worsted weight yarn for example Drops Air, Cascade 220, Borgo de Pazzi New Cedro. Drops Air and other blown yarns give a similar fuzzy look without being overly warm or heavy. The light blue sample is knit in Cascade 220.
NEEDLES
3.5 mm circular needles (preferred cable length for neckband, crew neck)
4 mm circular needles (preferred cable length for neckband, hem and cuffs)
4.5 mm circular needles (preferred cable length for body and sleeves)
CONSTRUCTION
Baltic Breeze pullover is worked seamlessly from top down starting from the back panel. Back and front are worked flat until the underarm and then joined in the round. Stitches for the collar are picked up later so you can choose whether you want to add a full turtleneck or a crew neck. The pattern includes a chart as well as written instructions for the textured details.
Difficulty
Intermediate
Includes techniques like German short rows, working in a textured pattern flat and in the round (reading your knitting) and picking up stitches both horizontally and vertically.
A note about size 10
Sizes 10 has not been test knitted yet. If you’re interested in knitting that size, I’d love to offer you the pattern for free in exchange for some feedback on your experience. There’s no set deadline, you can knit at your own pace.
Please note that the pattern has been professionally tech edited, so it should be accurate and ready to knit. Still, your notes and insights would be very helpful in refining these larger sizes for future updates.
If you’d like to test size 10, please get in touch!
Ohje on saatavilla myös suomeksi.
