Hat is wonderfully textured using the Balloon Stitch. The unique Balloon Stitch is created using a combination of front and back post double crochet stitches. Expand your stitch repertoire with this incredibly gorgeous and fun stitch.

Worked from the bottom up in the round so hat can be easily resized from adult size instructions provided.

Hat pattern as written is tall as it is designed to be a slouchy style hat. However, pattern could be worked to make a shorter, less slouchy style hat as well.

Brim of hat is a faux knit stitch as the just right finishing touch to this hat.
