Make your little ballerina the sweetest pair of crochet baby slippers with these easy baby ballerina point shoes!

These baby booties are crocheted starting with the sole and then the body of the shoe. Then ribbons and stick-on crystal accents are added. These would be for a photo shoot with the crystals and ribbons attached. If you are making them for everyday wear I would skip the add-ons.

Yarns for baby things need to be easy to care for and soft on baby skin. For this pair of crochet baby slippers I chose one of my favorite baby yarns – Red Heart Baby Hugs Light. I love both the light and medium versions of this yarn, which has been tested to be free from harmful levels of over 300 chemicals. Sounds great to me!

It comes in a wide variety of colors, can be machine washed (I have tested this many times!) and works up very well. I love using this yarn and have used it on many different projects.
