Bairn is the perfect knit for a newborn or much loved baby. This textured knit works beautifully with hand painted yarn. The simple broken rib basket-weave pattern gives the appearance of a tartan print.

This cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom-up, dividing at armholes. Sleeves are worked flat and then joined at shoulder.

NB: When making the 0-3month size I used every inch of my 1 skein. A second skein may be required for some knitters.
