Back to Square One
This triangular shawl is worked in one piece using one colour at a time. It starts with one large square and progressively smaller triangles are added, according to the rules of Pythagoras Theorem. It measures 150 cm (60”) across and 75 cm (30”) high but can easily be adjusted to other sizes.
Seven (or eight) yarns are needed for the various triangles. I used two strands of fine yarn together. I used the same shade of purple throughout as one of my yarns and mixed it with different shades for all the other triangles.
The pattern is also available in Mufflermatics an ebook of mathematical scarves and shawls.
