Baby Slipper Socks - Set I
In this pattern set, you’ll find a basic baby sock pattern along with several variations for different cuffs. You can also vary the look of the socks by making the cuff and/or toe sections in different colors from the main body of the sock - create an entire wardrobe of socks to go with every outfit!
The patterns use chain stitches, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet stitches.
Sizes: Newborn-3 months (3.5 inch sole); 3-6 months (4 inch sole); 6-12 months (4.5 inch sole)
Note: NB-3 months is worked with D hook & 3-6 months is worked with E hook – both sizes following the first set of directions. For sizes 6-12 months use E hook and follow the changes shown in parentheses. When only 1 number is shown, it applies to all sizes.
Materials:
Approximately 100 – 150 yards of sock yarn, depending on size made
Crochet hook US D3/3.25mm
Crochet hook US E4/3.5mm
Gauge:
- With D hook: 16 rows and 14 single crochet stitches = 2 inches
- With E hook: 13 rows and 11 single crochet stitches = 2 inches
