Baby Rae is the little sister to the Rae Beaded Scarf.

Like the original it’s knitted in a DK weight and features elegantly tapered ends and sleek slip stitch edges. But for Baby Rae I’ve shortened the length of the textured stripe body and used two different beads to inject a touch of beaded colourwork to its bejewelled ends.

This glamourous, fun design has something for everyone who can already knit and purl with confidence.

There’s a couple of new techniques to add to your crafting skill set and some reassuringly simple knitting that will soothe away a few hours in your favourite knitting spot.

It’s also a great introductory project if you’re new to beaded colourwork. But don’t worry! The instructions include a beading plan so you know exactly which colour to thread on, and when. So whether you choose beads that stand out or ones that match your yarn, this super cute design will add a stylish lift to any outfit.

If you prefer a longer scarf decorated with a single colour of bead, why not check out the original Rae Beaded Scarf
