Elephants have always been my very favorite animal. I think they are simply magical. I wanted yo create a pattern that could be made with any size yarn and appropriate hook. With worsted (4) weight yarn, you will make an 8 or 9 inch elephant. Using blanket (5-6) weight yarn you will end up with a 2 foot elephant!

This pattern is for an intermediate beginner. You must know basic crochet techniques such as single and half double crochet along witj increasing and decreasing. The head body and legs are all crocheted in one piece and the arms are crocheters on.
