This little baby bun is only 20cm/ 8 in long with the sweetest face and cuddliest body …
…and - not a well-known fact, but my first baby toy was a little bunny about this size although a plush one and not a knitted one - it was called Bunty - which was named after a little bunny that my dear Dad captured and nurtured as a young lad (they did things like that in those days so please don’t judge!) - so this little dear is homage to them both xx
I’ve knitted mine as I did with this one (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rabbit-44) from Drops Alpaca and Drops Flora - used double stranded to get the colour shade I wanted - the 400 metres I’ve suggested takes this into account - in other words, if you just wanted to use a DK yarn then you’d only need about 200 metres…
And the eyes I bought from Suncatcher eyes - 16mm brown ones.
Hope you enjoy knitting him/ her - never know which! - I have added a YouTube video here - https://tinyurl.com/ya4wcevg
which shows the making up bit too..
