Straps, buttons and a patterned lining – this is some luxury footwear! These tiny booties make quick gifts for expectant mothers.

The sample item is made with West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep; 1 ball each in Teddy Bear and Dancing Bluebells.

You will also need:

• 2 pieces of patterned fabric, approx 14x14cm
• 4 wooden buttons

Tension: Rounds 1-3 of Sole measure 4x9cm (1½x3½in).

Remember to sew the buttons on securely, so tiny (but strong!) hands can’t pull them off.
