This fun pattern makes a set of three blocks with a letter on the front and a number on the back. Each block is made in only three pieces, the letter, the number and a strip which makes up the other four sides of the cube. This makes for less seaming when finishing the blocks. All the pieces are worked flat. They are a quick and enjoyable toy to knit!

Materials:
-US Size 5 (3.75mm) straight knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
-Knit Picks Swish Worsted yarn, one skein each of White (C1), Green Tea Heather (C2) and Dublin (C3)
-Three 3” foam cubes
-Yarn needle

Notes:
-Foam can be purchased in 3 inch thick pieces and cut down into cubes with an electric carving knife. It helps to measure and mark on the foam with a permanent marker before cutting.
-The finished knitted pieces will measure a bit less than 3”, but will stretch to fit snugly around the foam cube.
-The blocks can be made in many different colors. The pattern is written with C1 as the lightest color, C2 a bit darker and C3 as the darkest. Have fun playing around with different color combinations!
