The lining is solid-color Stockinette stitch, which - depending on your mood - could be relaxing or, let’s face it, tedious to knit. If you’d prefer not to knit the lining, buy 3 skeins fewer putty-colored yarn and follow the instructions for sewing on a fabric backing. The accompanying dolly can be completed in a few hours - and enjoyed for years. Her pants are ‘built in,’ but her heart sweater can be taken on and off.”
