Baby Aran Sweater
If you want to try aran knitting , a baby sweater is a great way to start. And this pattern is so easy! It has easy shaping, little sewing. So it lets you concentrate on the pattern and not fussy shaping or sewing! Any baby will look so adorable in this! We made ours blue for boys, but it is so charming in pink for girls too! Front and back are worked identical. Sleeves are easy to make with easy increases up to top of sleeve. This style has button closure for neck, rather than shoulder seams. We find, this works well, as you unbutton to fit over babys head, and then button up. Most babies do not like tight necklines, so this sweater is the answer to easy fit neck too! Fits 10 to 18 months, to 2- 3 yrs. Uses sport weight yarns, knitting needles, US # 6 and # 8 for larger size, # 4, and # 6 for smaller size.
