The Axis Sweater is knit sideways in stripes
of stockinette stitch that alternates between
showing the knit side and the purl side as well
as in colors. Begin by knitting the front, then
the back, and finally the sleeves. The front and
back are sewn together at the shoulder, then
seam in the sleeves. Be careful not to tighten
the yarn at the color changes. Do not break the
yarn at color changes, but place the new color
over the old.
Note: If you do not get gauge, you risk that the
sweater will be too short if your gauge is too
tight or too long if your gauge is too loose.
