Awesome Possum Mitts

Shortly after I began working in my local yarn shop, one of the owners handed me a skein of this yarn. We were preparing for a yearly event called the Knitter’s Frolic, where knitters amass to look at new yarns and hand crafted goods. She wanted to knit a sample up in this yarn, since we were bringing it with us.
After winding it, and feeling it in my hands, I knew it had to become fingerless gloves. I tried a couple of simple patterns, but this yarn has such a great depth due to the Possum Fur, which is actually black. It was begging to be knit up in some kind of cable. When swatching for these, I accidentally broke the cable, and this design was born.
Although you could knit these in any sport-weight or DK yarn, I really hope you’ll get the chance to try it in the Amuri, as it is a joy to work with, and feels so soft and warm against the skin.
