Blossom into your most amazing self in this beautiful lace sweater and dress! This design is a wonderful project to take on to expand your awesome machine knitting skills, and you’ll have something super cute to show off when you’re done too. This pattern is incredibly versatile in that in can be a chic beach cover up, an elegant evening dress, a stylish sweater with sleeves, a short sleeved top with just a touch of lace, or whatever you can dream up! This striking lace pattern will look stunning no matter how you wear it.
This is an update to my “Take a Bow” knitting pattern adapted for the machine. You can knit it like the original version with straight shoulders and a boat neckline, or in the updated way pictured with a crew neck and sloped shoulders, enabling you to add sleeves. All options are included in the pattern to make this design suit your unique style preferences.
All of these designs were knitted with the assistance of the Needle Beetle, a machine knitting accessory made by Kris Krafter. If you would like to see how I used the needle beetle to knit this lace pattern, check out my new video tutorial here. You can of course knit this design without having the needle beetle too.
This pattern is written with the beginner in mind, with explanations and photo tutorials for all techniques used. There’s also information for planning out any customizations of your design with lots of helpful tips.
Enjoy!
