Awareness in Ribbons and Lace
I have just changed the price of the pattern to $6.00 and trust you will donate to cancer research. Thank you!!
Please do not spend $10 on the pattern. This pattern costs $7! In order to get it to work I had to list it higher. Please donate to $5 or more to cancer research and then the pattern is only $2 with the code found on your receipt. If you do buy it at $10 I will donate much of that money to Dana-Faber at the end of the month.
In order to buy this pattern;
Step 1: please donate $3 or more to the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute by following this link.
Step 2: The code is the last name of the woman who signed the receipt you received. Use this code to buy the pattern for $2 here in Ravelry and your pattern with be delivered to your ravelry library.
Thank you so much for helping support cancer research!!!
Sorry about the runaround but I really want the money to go directly to cancer research not fall into my hands. If there are any questions or problems please contact me at Kimberlolly.
Awareness in Ribbons and Lace’s unique construction begins by knitting the lace edging and first twisted stitch ribbon section. This section is worked on both the right and wrong side rows. Stitches are then picked up and the second cable ribbon section is worked followed by short row shaping in garter stitch to give the shawl its crescent shape and to allow it to lie snuggly on your shoulders and neck. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern will go to breast cancer research.
Finished dimensions after washing and blocking:
Approximately 20”/ 51 cm high at the
middle and highest point, 70”/ 177 cm along the bottom edge.
Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced, I have added photo tutorials for some of the techniques.
Yarn: 1100 yards (1006 m) of sport weight yarn. I used 6 skeins of Lana Grossa Cool Wool 100 % washable merino. Use a natural fiber yarn that blocks well; acrylic is not suggested. Other yarn suggestions and pictures from testers are given in the pattern.
Needles: US 7/4.5 mm
Notions: Stitch markers and a possible life line for the beginning charted rows, stitch holder, cable needle.
Gauge: 20 sts per 4”/10 cm after blocking in stockinette stitch. Although gauge is not important, your final dimensions and yardage requirements may vary if your gauge is different
Skills: Twisted stitches, cables, lace,
suspended bind off. I have added photo tutorials for some of the techniques.
The pattern is both with written directions, charts and has tutorials for some of the technigues used in the pattern.
