Avondale Cowl
Cozy, cabled cowl knit in rustic natural merino wool. Can be worn up as a hood or down around neck. Warm, scrumptious, and a great introduction to cabling!

Finished cowl measures 24 in (61 cm) in circumference and 16 in (41 cm) tall
MATERIALS
Yarn: 
2 skeins #6 Handspun Bulky Weight Yarn 175 yds (160 m) 
(Original model made using Camellia Fiber Company Bulky Handspun Merino in Natural.) I recommend Wool Ease Thick and Quick as a substitute!
Tools: 
Size 15 (10 mm) circular needles, 24 in (or size needed to obtain gauge) 
Row marker 
Bulky cable needle or size 15 (10 mm) double-pointed needle 
Tapestry needle
GAUGE 
With size 15 (10 mm) needles in stockinette stitch: 10 sts and 16 rows = 4 in (10 cm)
NOTES 
For an extra-long cowl, consider working cable pattern until cowl measures 17 in (43 cm) from the cast on edge before completing final four rounds of 2x2 ribbing
