Averil
“I wanted to create a shrug that would be clean-lined with a touch of textural interest,” says designer Deborah Helmke. Her modern shrug is worked in two pieces, sewn up the centre back and finished with textured front edgings. It’s a versatile piece that will look as good with casual outfits as it does with a dress or blouse. Deborah has chosen to use Rowan’s Summerspun DK yarn, a merino-cotton blend which knits up into a subtly variegated fabric. It comes in a choice of eight muted, mélange colourways.
